How to Start Windows 10 in Safe Mode


If you new user on the windows 10 or you just upgrade to windows 10. When you use F8 to safe mode it can’t do again, why? This aims to make booting time faster. You can work it again with BCD, Open command promt, and type bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy then press enter. Now you can use F8 again!

And windows has 2 version safe mode: Safe Mode and Safe Mode Networking. what’s different? actually the same but If you choose the safe mode networking you can access the internet. in this article we will share guide to start windows 10 in safe mode.

  1. Press logo windows+R on your keyboard
  2. Type msconfig then tab Ok.
  3. On the System Configuration, Select boot tab and then in the boot options choose safe boot click Ok
  4. Click restart PC will restarting, and if you choosing “Exit without restart” automaticly windows move to safe mode.

Note: When you want to start windows 10 in normal mode, unchecked on the safe boot!

Safe mode Win 10 #Way 2

  1.  Select start button on your screen then tab settings.
  2.  Looking for Update & Security > Recovery.
  3.  On the Advanced startup tab, click Restart now.
  4.  In the Choose an option menu, select Troubleshoot then Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  5. Now, you will see list options, press 4 or F4 on your keyboard for safe mode. If you want to safe mode networking press 5 or F5.
